>>RE-LIVING THE CITY: BI-CITY BIENNALE OF ARCHITECTURE & URBANISM [2015]

WORKSCAPE THEATRE // Invitation by studio MAKKINK & BEY
In collaboration with Dan Adlešic & Echo Yang. Featured on DESIGNBOOM.

Constructed for shenzhen biennale of urbanism architecture, this bamboo installation considers potential working environments within a domestic setting. designed by studio Makkink & Bey, the Workscape Theatre is divided into three sections containing the workplaces of the alumni of Design Academy Eindhoven: Dan Adlešic, Fiona du Mesnildot, Echo Yang, Hsiang-Ching Chuang, and Xian Zheng. The alumni were invited to create a collaborative exhibition that would generate a dialogue with those attending the event.

For the event Fiona re-imagined her "Domestic Theater" as two dimensional fabric architectural details applied to the structure. She also developed her Workscape studio as a "Props for Domestic Drama" production line repetitively casting smoothing-iron and detergent bottle made of laundry powder out of pressure molds.
